September has been an awesome month! Bring on this Fall weather- we love it!
Robert and I did our First Baby Storytime at the public library. The whole group sat outside, sang songs and listened to the librarian read Zoom, Zoom Baby! Robert's favorite part was playing with the sheer fabric squares. He took our library selfie very seriously, ha! 😃
I am enjoying MOPS this Fall! While I was at our first meeting Robert stayed in the cubs room at our church nursery for the first time. He did great (even sleeping for 30 minutes) and I had an awesome time meeting some new friends, drinking coffee and eating second helpings of the homemade coffee cake- yum. I am really excited (& grateful!) about participating with MOPs every other Tuesday morning and hopeful for the fellowship and friendship that will come through it.
For Mother's Day Rob gifted me a family calendar that we are going to hang in our kitchen. I love it! Rob, Robert and I started this September filling it out together with hopes of it being a weekend family tradition to help keep us all on the same page. In addition to it being a calendar, it also has a word of the week, a prayer list, a grateful list, grocery list, and chores/ to-do sections. Robert was very interested in Mama's pen while we began filling it out together.
Lots of family birthdays in the months of August and September. It's been so wonderful that we can walk over to Chris and Katie's to join in on dinner and/or cake plus celebrate with everyone. On Chris's birthday Robert had his first three course meal: spaetzle, broccoli, and.... chocolate cake. He really went after the broccoli eating almost the entire piece. Then the chocolate cake was so good he just had to lick the tray to get every last bit- smart boy!
Katie and I met at Kiwanis park with Robert, Ben & Rosie. It was a beautiful day! Robert had his first bite of graham cracker and I was reminded of how good they are- yum! It's such a blessing to be so close to family. I love spontaneous meet ups.
