Rob's Unemployment Week (woohoo!)

We are so excited about Rob starting a new job with Okta this week! In between jobs he took one week off and it was SO nice having him with us during the day. Robert and Matty absolutely loved all the Daddy time and I loved it too.

Daddy and Robert built the coolest tower.

We took a family walk on the Greensprings Trail. It's so special to us that we can walk the same trail that we got engaged on with our kids. Robert showed Daddy "the mountain".

We played ice cream shop (a lot)!

We also played zoo. Robert was so cute to watch. He would bathe all the animals and then feed them with the baby doll bottle. It was sweet! I made this sign one afternoon to surprise him when he woke up from his nap. We like to move the clown nose around the playroom on different animals. It always makes Robert crack up when he finds it.

We went to our neighborhood playground almost every day.

When the boys overlapped with their nap Rob and I would enjoy a tasty ice coffee together. I loved the company! So grateful that Rob was able to take a week off.

Matthew is EIGHT months!

Matty is eight months old! These past month Matty has changed so much. He is crawling (fast!) He is trying to get into everything! He is starting to climb and pull up. He has eaten bacon, bagels, apple slices, peanut butter crackers, watermelon and plenty of baby food. He is sleeping so much better (so grateful for full nights of sleep again!). He really is a joy to be around... so smiley, so happy, so much fun!

Having his first slice of Watermelon at our church block party. He seemed to kind of like it.

He seems to really love swinging. Robert loves to swing next to him which is really sweet. Robert says "I swing next to Matthew (Ma-thyou)"

He loves all of Robert's toys! This moment was when Robert was napping and he had the fire truck all to himself. He was quite pleased.

He is on the go!

In CW having a picnic with some friends.

May Wrap Up 2023

 We had an awesome May!

We were outside a lot! The weather has been beautiful and so mild compared to normal Mays in Virginia. The boys swung. We walked the Greenspring Trail. We enjoyed our playground. We visited the horses in CW and scootered- a lot. Good times!

Robert insisted on bringing his squirt fan.

Stopping to look for airplanes.

Auntie Ju Ju met us one day in CW for horses and a picnic lunch.

Matty still does such a great job being in the carrier, although he's getting to be a bit heavy. We have transitioned him to the second seat instead of his car seat when in the stroller and he seems very happy about that.

The boys and I did a bird walk one day. We looked for birds and woodpeckers while using Robert's stuffed animal birds (that make bird calls) in hopes of calling out the birds. It kind of worked! We had fun!

Robert and Daddy twinned not once but twice for church.

Robert loves the life water drink he gets sometimes at church.

The boys and I went to the Strawberry Festival at Matthew Whaley. Robert went in a bounce house but the real highlight was the fire truck.

Robert wanted me to wear the fire helmet.

The Bowmans came to visit for an afternoon. We had snacks in the front yard and then ventured to the playground. So nice getting to catch up with them.

Why do Robert and Foster look so big?

On Memorial Day, the boys and I picked up Dunkin Donuts and went over to Mamie and Papa's house for "porch" hanging.

Daddy and his boys!

Daddy and Robert had a fun Saturday together while Matty and I went to Richmond so I could see a few friends. They had Chickfila as a special lunch date. Robert's favorite part was the chocolate milk.

I got to celebrate a sweet friend of mine at her baby shower up in Reston. It was really nice to catch up with dear friends whom most of them I hadn't seen in over two years.

Robert in May.... He sat in the front seat of our van while I drove him around the cul-de-sac. He got very attached to wearing his bucket hat. He showed a bit more interest in wearing his sunglasses. We played a lot of fire chief. He painted. He ate his first fruit roll up. He got new headphones for the car. We danced a lot.

Robert dancing at Billsburg to the live music.

Our neighbors gave us their old gymnastic play mats and Robert loved them.

Robert went to his first dentist appointment. He did great! He has 19 teeth and was very excited about the TWO toothbrushes he got. He also thought the animal mural was very cool. Everyone that worked there was very sweet toward him.

At our last Mops meeting all of the kids came in with their teachers and sang us the songs that they had been learning all year. It was really sweet to see them dancing and singing together. We are so beyond grateful for the childcare team at our church. Robert LOVES Ms. Anna and so do we.

The childcare team at our church bought these awesome double strollers to walk with all the babies. Matty's Cubs room during Mops has about 7 babies (mostly all boys). This picture was taking of Matty and his buddy Joel sleeping while on a walk.

We enjoyed Billsburg with Katie, Chirs and family, as well as Lauren, Eric and Katie's extended family.
