Minnesota: Greg & Elizabeth's Wedding

Rob and I were super lucky to be able to get away for a full 5 days to Minnesota to celebrate with family for Greg & Elizabeth's wedding. It. Was. A. BLAST! It was our first time both leaving Robert but my parents, Mamie and Papa, were incredible and kept him for us. Honestly, I'm not even sure he missed us- he had so much fun!

Here we are at the wedding! Everything was beautiful and the food was amazing.

While we were there we got to go to the Minnesota State Fair. We ate our way through the entire fair starting first thing in the morning. Rob documented by taking pictures of everything we ate. I think he got up to about 20 photos. The favorites for me included:  the corndog (classic), fried pickle, and fried Snickers. We rode the Ferris Wheel, the jumbo slide and saw a piglet be born. Besides the wedding, it was the highlight of our trip!

Rob and I got to go out to dinner for a date night. As much as we missed Robert, it was really nice to have some "us" time.

We stayed in an awesome house with Patty, Paula and Chip. We loved our time with them. especially our morning coffees on the front porch. One night we walked down to the water. It was beautiful!

The rehearsal dinner was at a really neat brewery. We had a great time catching up with all the cousins and family!

Meanwhile back in Virginia, Robert was living his best life with Mamie and Papa. We received daily text messages with pictures of all the fun things they were doing together.

Robert rode the ferry to Surry.

Robert read bedtime stories with Papa.

Robert enjoyed waffles for breakfast.

Robert went grocery shopping.

Robert went to the playground.

Robert played in his pool in our front yard.

Robert went to Busch Gardens and enjoyed dinner and a show at the Fest House.

Robert loved going to Charlie's Airport and watching the airplanes while having lunch. And not pictured Robert enjoyed walking around CW with Mamie and Papa.

Summer 2022 Lighting Round

Summer 2022 was one for the books! We spent a lot of time with friends!

Eloise (a sweet neighbor friend of Robert's) and Robert enjoyed popsicles and cutting the grass one hot afternoon.

Robert with some of his church buddies. Ellie, Lucy, Duke, Riser, and Bonnie. We are very grateful for our church family. Robert and I go to Chapel every other Tuesday for MOPS and every Wednesday for Open Door bible study. It is a wonderful time for me to have fellowship and Robert loves playing in the turtle classroom.

Robert loves our neighbor Elizabeth's garage. She has two boys and has the coolest toys ever!

Lucy and Robert. They are two months apart and we spend a lot of time with her and her sweet family.

Ellie (Lucy's big sis) and Robert at Water Country. We enjoyed going to Water Country with our Mops friends a lot this summer.

Amy came to visit with Kevin and sweet baby Finn this summer. Spending time with them was definitely a highlight of our summer! Amy and I have been best friends since middle school.

Erin and Molly came for a weekend visit while Rob was out of town for a work trip. Besides the stress of Robert having hand, foot, and mouth we had such a good time catching up!

We got to go for a walk in Colonial Williamsburg with Molly and baby Charlie.

We spent lots of time with family playing outside, going to Busch Gardens, trips to Richmond, trips to Lorton, going to the pool, at our public library, doing triathlons (go Chris & Rob!), soccer games, holidays and eating ice cream.

Rob, Robert and I went to the Lavender Farm with our small group.

Rob turned 38!!!

We enjoyed walks in CW! It's one of my favorite things to do in Williamsburg no matter the season.

Robert and I enjoyed going to the Virginia Living Museum.

We went to Water Country USA.

Rob and I got out for a fun date night at Precarious.

Our church put on an amazing week of Vacation Bible School. It was family style, so we went together as a family each night. They provided dinner, great activities for all the kids, and a wonderful program each night for everyone.

Robert (I mean Elton) and I had some fun in Target.

And lastly some random but sweet photos of Robert. I don't remember the exact date of all of these but want to have them saved all the same. Things I want to remember... Rpbert loves playing with his blocks, cars, and train "chu chu". He has started to scribble (color) and absolutely loves our neighborhood playground. He likes to tackle Dada, read his books, play with shoes, play basketball (bball) at our neighborhood court, and loves his afternoon snack. He gets so excited to ride in the vroom vroom cart at Harris Teeter and loves hiding under a blanket and play peek-a-boo. We sure had a fun summer!
