Robert's first snow! I can't help but laugh when I see this picture because you would think that we got a foot of snow versus the barely one inch that we actually got... but hey, Robert was prepared and definitely warm!
Can't say that him being warm really helped him love the snow. He wasn't thrilled, teehee.
Sweet boy! Overall, he didn't love the snow this time but he did let me lay him down in it for a minute or two. I wanted to sit him up but the snow suit was so puffy that he couldn't sit very well, haha. We stayed out for maybe five minutes and then went back outside with Rob once he got off of work.
We took a family stroll around the neighborhood to see all the snow before dinner. We have really enjoyed talking family walks together once Rob gets off work and before little man eats. It is nice to get out of the house and always refreshing to stretch our legs and move.
The next day we had a little family snow ball fight. While goofing around, I accidently hit Rob in the head with a snow ball which then ricocheted off into Robert's face who then started to cry, whoops! I felt bad but Robert was fine and it ended up being kind of funny.
Williamsburg got way more snow than I expected in the month of January, which was fun! The last snow of January was really pretty. Even though it wasn't a ton of snow the trees were all covered in the morning when we woke up and it was really peaceful. I love this picture of Robert with Rob.
My parents had given us a baby sled (that I think each cousin has used over the years) so we really wanted to take Robert sledding. It worked out perfectly because we were able to meet up with Chris, Katie, E, J, B, and R over at the local high school for some really fun family time. The wind made it freezing! I was quite jealous of Robert's snow suit, although I think he was cold too. Rob and I were really surprised with how cold it was.
We pulled Robert around in the little sled that my parents gave us and then both Rob and I took him down one of the slightly bigger hills on Chris and Katie's sled. He did fine till the bottom of the hill where there was a bit of a dip and some snow flying in his face... that about did him in! He was not a fan! We did some family sled racing too. It was such a fun time!
