February Recap 2021

February Recap! We got to go visit Papa Laser and Gaby this month. I snapped this sweet picture of Papa Laser and Robert "opening their mail" together by the fire.

Robert and I went over for a fun cousin pizza & movie night. Robert LOVED Auntie Katie's pizza eating 3 full pieces and then trying to steal off of E, J, B, and R's plate for more. Robert "watched" his first movie ever.... Paw Patrol!

I have enjoyed keeping up with the months by doing some very simple hand and feet arts and crafts with Robert. January was a snowman and cardinals and February was LOVE and roses.

We celebrated my Mom's 70th birthday this month by all going out to brunch together. The brunch was right next door to where Rob and I stayed for our first night after our wedding. We snagged a picture in front of this door on our wedding night. It is a beautiful wooden door at the entry of the hotel. We went over with Robert and attempted to recreate the photo.

We made Valentine's for family! Robert enjoyed drawing with (and eating) his crayons.

We got to see my parents a good bit this month, which is always so sweet!

Robert wearing Dada's sweater originally made my Auntie Paula. Very special!

Robert is 11 Months!

Robert is 11 months old. I can't believe in just one more month he will be ONE! Time is flying...

This month Robert's personally is really starting to come out more! He is playful and silly and also a little curious/mischievous at times. He seems to understand the word "no" but that doesn't always mean he stops whatever it is he's doing... I have to work on not laughing because I know I am inadvertently turning it into a game. He is still very happy in the mornings and loves to play with (and hug) his stuffed animals. He loves to wave hello and bye bye. He has also started to point to things like "lights", "the fan", "the clock" and "windows" whenever we say those things. It's amazing to see him start connecting more with the world around him.

Robert loves his books! His favorite books right now are his Sesame Street ABC book, his  Lift the Flap Bedtime book, Dear Zoo, Robert My Very Own Name, Little Blue Truck Halloween.

This month Robert has started to show interest in walking. He loves to pull up on our hands and then walk mini laps around the downstairs. He also loves to play in his tunnel and play in boxes. We made a little "fort" for us to play in with him and he just thought it was the neatest thing.

Robert giggling in his tunnel 💗

Robert has started to say "Papa", "baba", and "Mama". His favorite thing to say is still Dada, which is adorable. At night when he is silly and sleepy he "chats" the most. He loves to chat while in his bath. He also has found a new love of yogurt!

Robert has found the pots and pans! Daily he likes to pull them out and play in the kitchen. We either play drums or he just enjoys pushing the pots and pans around the entire downstairs. We're not quite sure how but some of our Tupperware lids have gone missing...

We have started to enjoy a little afternoon snack on the carpet after Robert wakes up from his second nap. I just love how he sits crisscross applesauce and gets so excited! He gets so excited that he will clasp his hands together in his lap and do this inward happy shoulder shrug.

We still get out for our family walks almost every day (depending on the weather). A few of the warmer days this month have even allowed for some playground swinging. Robert and I have also enjoyed walking in CW looking at the horses and sheep.

Overall, this month has been full of lots of book reading, snuggling, peek a boo, animal watching, and ENERGY. Robert did also enjoy getting to visit Gaby and Papa Laser and snuggling in Ashleigh's bed. He has found the pillows on our bed also and he is very interested.
