Robert is TWO!

Our sweet, chatty, goofy "so silly", wild little man turned two this week! Honestly, everyone says it but where has the time gone?

Things that Robert loves at age TWO...  cheese "yellow cheese", cars, fire trucks, UPS trucks (all vehicles really), watching airplanes (Papa Laser's Wolfhound video), petting the horses in CW, seeing the "sheeps", reading books, snacks!, anything that Matthew has in his hands, the nature trail (Greenspring trail), walking to see the neighborhood geese, "driving" our car in the garage, Cocomelon, playing hide & go seek (although he tells you where he is hiding- it's hilarious), bedtime routine with Daddy, church, Ms. Anna, all desserts but mainly donuts.

Phases that we hear Robert say at age TWO... "want it!" "so silly" "Robert hide" "Mama play" "drive please" "snack time"

The night before his birthday Rob and I decorated the house- nothing crazy but we hung up a birthday sign, decorated with streamers and blew up some balloons. I think Robert's favorite part were the streamers that we hung in his doorway. He loved (and still loves) running through them (he will giggle as he does it), He also likes to see Mama, Daddy, Gaby, (anyone who is willing) to run through them too.

We got to FaceTime with Auntie Ashleigh on Robert's birthday. This is him showing her how he likes to run through his streamers.

Rob took off from work for the morning of Robert's actual birthday which was so nice. We ate cinnamon rolls, had a slow morning and then all went into CW to find the baby lambs. Our main gift to Robert this year was a scooter. He is slowly getting the hang of it!

Matty liked the balloons.

Robert playing with his new car garage. He also got a new toy car from my Dad. He decided to bring it with him in his pocket on our CW trip.

We found the baby lambs!

My Aunt Nancy sent him a PJ Mask birthday card. He hasn't seen the show yet but really loved putting on the stickers that came with the card.

We celebrated with a cupcake on his actual birthday and saved the big cake for his family party. Not pictured... Robert blowing out his candle because he did not like the sparker candle I got for him. I thought it would be exciting but he kept saying "scary", haha. Rob videoed us singing and it gave us a good laugh after bedtime. Not quite what I had expected but he loved the cupcake nonetheless.

We celebrated with our small group all the kid's who have birthdays in March. Since Riser's birthday is also in March it was fun that Katie, Chris, Eleanor, Jane, Ben and Rosie joined in on the fun! All you need is bubbles and balloons for a good time with kids.

Robert- Two          Riser- One          Jameson- Five

All the kids in our small group plus sweet cousins!

We celebrated with family over the weekend! Robert also received a lot of cards in the mail from sweet family-  so very thoughtful!

We all walked to the playground to enjoy the beautiful weather together.

Robert's First Haircut(s)

Back on Thanksgiving Day Rob gave Robert his first haircut. We put on the Macy's Day Parade, gave Robert yummy, warm cinnamon rolls and that did the trick! Rob did a fantastic job! The mullet had a good run!

He kept saying "tickles!"

Pre-haircut excitement over the cinnamon rolls.

Then just this week (early March) I took Robert in for his first official haircut in a salon. Mehmet cut his hair and was so sweet with him. He held his hand, gave him a hairbrush to distract him (when he got nervous), and gave him a lollipop afterwards, which Robert thoroughly enjoyed! Julie came with us which was so fun for Robert and so helpful for me. After the haircut we went to Panera for lunch. Robert loved their mac n' cheese and brownie- so good!

Robert was all about it (loved the chair, loved the "cape", loved Mehmet) until the scissors came out. He was definitely nervous for the first half but finally eased into it when he trusted that it wouldn't hurt just "tickle".

Afterwards he was very pleased with his lollipop!

At lunch smiling with Aunt Ju Ju. So glad she was able to come with us!

Let's not forget the pre-haircut man bun. Thanks Auntie Ashleigh 😊
