Robert is 10 months old! He weighs 22 lbs 13 oz and is 30 inches long.
Gosh, where is the time going? This month has been super fun with lots of movement. Robert is on the go! He is cruising around the couch and also the perimeter of his crib. His crawl seems to have multiple speeds with him recently kicking it into high gear whenever he sees stairs, Dada (especially when Rob gets off of work), Dino, his vroom vrooms, or occasionally things he's not suppose to get into like the carbon monoxide detector, outlet plugs, my coffee cup, cell phones, etc.
His favorite foods right now are peanut butter toast, eggs, clementines, blueberries, yogurt, mac n' cheese and meatballs.
Robert is still such a happy baby. He wakes up most mornings with a big smile on his face and does this little chuckle when Rob and I go into get him. He has started to stick out his tongue and make this silly "ahhhhh" noise! We call it his silly face.
Some of his favorite stuffed animals... Dino, Leo (short for Leonardo- Julie and Will got him for Robert while they were in Italy), and good ol' faithful Cheetah.
Robert has started riding in the grocery cart and loves it! Usually anything he can "drum" on will keep him pretty happy and occupied. It's a nice outing for us now to go and do the grocery run together. We usually make sure we have enough time to pursue the ice cream isle.
Robert loves playing with his cars... his "vroom vrooms".
This would be Robert giving Dino a hug. He has started to give hugs and it really is super cute. It resembles more of a nose dive. He is an all-in hugger when he decides to hug and it cracks Rob and I up. He has started to hug Rob and I too. He will lay his head down on our shoulder and wrap his arms around our neck- it's truly one of my favorite things. However, I do think Dino currently gets the most hugs with George his stuffed animal monkey and Ollie being close seconds. 😃
Robert still loves his story time with Dada each night. I love to sit and enjoy the book with them. During the day Robert and I love to read together too. He loves to empty out the entire book basket downstairs and look at all of the covers. His favorite downstairs books (my old school counseling books) include, "I Don't Want to be a Frog" by Dev Petty, "Gloria and Officer Buckle" by Peggy Rathmann and "When I Grow Up, by Al Yankovic.
He has enjoyed playing with his shadow, playing lots of peck-a-boo, reading Wiggle Waggle, and playing with his stack cups this month.
Robert still enjoys getting out for a walk, even in the colder weather!
