Pool Shenanigans

We love our neighborhood pool!

Everyday (about) we go to the pool in the afternoons with Robert. In the beginning, Robert was super stoic whenever he was in the water. It would make Rob and I laugh because in general Robert is such a smiley baby and then we'd get to the pool and he would go into this major mellow mode. We used to joke that he took his pool time very seriously.

These past few weeks though he has begun to get much more animated. It's precious and makes going to the pool even more fun. He has started smiling more while in the water and even started to kick his legs and move his arms. Of course this makes the swimmers in Rob and I very excited. (some videos are below)

There is a basketball hoop at our pool. Rob and I have enjoyed playing an occasional game of H.O.R.S.E while taking turns holding Robert and even Robert has shown interest in the blue and white stripped ball.

In general, our pool is super chill. There aren't many people usually there, which I know in later years won't be what Robert is looking for. He'll want to swim with friends and his cousins but for this summer it has been a huge blessing that we can easily walk over, stay for 30-40 minutes and then head back home all before bath time. I never want to forget this summer of sweet pool time with Robert.

Robert as we enter the pool. Feeling good...

Strolling home in style after the pool.

Some videos of Robert in the pool.
