It has been an awesome month! We are slowly getting in our daily groove with Rob working full time from home and me adjusting to my new role as a stay at home Mom. This 4 - 5 month old age has been so much fun with Robert! Outside of the short period he was sick, he is the happiest boy. It is really exciting to see his sweet demeanor and playful personality start to come out.
He loves jumping in his Johnny Jump Up (thank you Gaby & Papa Lasor).
He had his first solid food- a mushy banana.
He had his first baby food- pears and then carrots. Carrots are his favorite so far.
He is determined to crawl. He pulls himself up on all fours and sways, "army" crawls and lunges his way across his blanket toward his favorite toys which are currently DJ Panda, his standing mirror, pizza, crinkly books, light up rattle and frozen keys.
We love reading books to him. He currently thinks eating them makes him smarter... we'll work on that. 😉
He loves bath time. It's one of my favorite times of the day with him too.
He is starting to show his silly personality and Rob and I just love it. He can be particularly silly while getting his jammies on at night.
He has found his toes! Just the other night he started putting those cute toes in his mouth.
He has started to giggle. It is the best sound! He giggles most when Rob and I play "I'm gonna get cha!". He does this sorta grunt giggle which we love.
Rob and I had our first date night. We went to Amber Ox for the Smash Burgers. They were delicious and it was really nice to get out just the two of us. Mamie and Papa stayed home with sleeping Robert.
We went to a Summer Breeze concert with my mom and dad. We ate hot dogs and listened to live music. Robert was a trooper staying out well past his normal bed time. We all had a blast!
Our dear friends Erin and Jimmy came to visit. Erin and I have been close friends since middle school. I met Rob the exact same week that Erin met Jimmy back in 2017- both through online dating- so we have always felt a great bond with them and their story. We had the best time going to an 80's concert on Friday night on Jamestown Beach, enjoying The Cheeseshop in Colonial Williamsburg and then biking to Billsburg on Saturday.
August, you have been so good to us! Looking forward to September and the Fall events to come.
